Doston “SACH” kya hai? Kabhi aapne sach ke baare me socha hai ki ye actual me hota kya hai? Chalo ek experiment karte hai – ask anyone today, “What is truth?” and i’m sure guys ki aapko kai interesting conversation milenge. Aap chahe to isse ek university campus me try kar sakte hai and aap laughter, scorn and derision receive karenge. So let’s go back to the starting point and answer the question. What is Truth?
A Proposed Definition Of Truth
Truth ko defining karne me, hume sabse pahle ye pta karne me help milegi ki what truth is not:
- Truth is not simply whatever works. Ye pragmatism (परेशानी) ki philosophy hai – and ends-vs-means-type approach. In reality, jhoot “work” karta hua dikhai de sakta hai, but still vo jhoot hai and not the truth.
- Truth vo nahi hai jo people ko good feel karvaye. Unfortunately, bad new bhi kabhi kabhi true ho sakti hai.
- Truth vo nahi jo majority ne kaha hai. Kyuki doston ho sakta hai ki 51 percent ek hi group ke log bhi ek wrong conclusion me pahunch gaye ho.
- Truth vo nahi ki kya comprehensive hai. Ek lengthy, detailed presentation abhi bhi ek false conclusion me result kar sakte hai.
- Truth humare intended (irada) ke through defined nahi kiya jaa sakta. Kyuki good intentions bhi wrong ho sakti hai.
- Truth vo nahi ki hume kaise pta hai, truth vo hai ki hume kya pta hai.
- Truth is not simply what is believed. A lie believed is still a lie.
- Truth vo nahi hota jo public ne prove kiya hai. A truth can be privately known.
The Greek word for “truth” is aletheia, jiska mtlab hai “un-hide” or “hiding nothing.” Ye thought convey karta hai ki truth har jagah hai, always open and available sabke liye. The Hebrew word for “truth” is emeth, jiska matlab hai “firmness,” “constancy” and “duration”. Iski definition kuch iss tarah se ki ye ek everlasting substance or something that can be relied upon.
Ek philosophical perspective se, truth ko define karne ke liye simple three ways:
- Truth is that which correspond to reality.
- Truth is that which matches its object.
- Truth is simply telling it like it is.
First, truth corresponds to reality or “what is.” It is real. Truth also nature me correspondent hai. In other words, ye apne object se mel khata hai or isse referent se jana jaata hai.
Truth also matches its object. It may be absolutely true that ek certain person ko so many milligrams of a certain medication ki need ho sakti hai, but another person ko desired effect produce karne ke liye same medication more or less ki need ho sakti hai. Ye truth se relative nahi hai, but just ek example hai ki kaise truth apne object se match karta hai.
So guys in short, truth is simply telling it like it is; ye jiss tarah se things really me kar rahe hai and any other viewpoint is wrong. Ek foundational principle of philosophy ne truth and error ke beech vichar karne me able kiya jaa raha hai.
